Biography
MaryKate Garrity knows there’s no “one size fits all” approach when finding the perfect home for a client. That’s why personalized service – the kind that listens carefully and is available when and where the client needs it – is what she does best, and she has the 2016 Coldwell Banker Sterling Award to prove it. Since 2014, her work as a Coldwell banker sales agent piggybacks on 28 years as an assistant to her mother, who was also a top-selling Coldwell Banker agent. Great service, you could say, runs in the family.
As a Hingham resident for 47 years, MaryKate has forged timeless partnerships with the best tradesmen, lenders, mortgage brokers, and insurance specialists on the south shore. This, combined with her strong negotiation skills, has opened doors for buyers and sellers to have access to some of the area’s most trusted experts. Prior to working full-time as a certified agent for buyers and sellers, MaryKate owned a pet sitting company called Puppy AuPair, and continues her work with animals as a Board member of the Hingham Police k9 foundation.
Before joining Coldwell Banker as an agent, MaryKate worked for ten years as a 911 emergency dispatcher for Hull police and fire departments, as well as for South Shore Regional Communication Center (SSRECC) for the towns of Cohasset, Hingham, Hull and Norwell Police and Fire Departments. Her experience as a dispatcher inspires her still today, and she especially enjoys working with clients who are veterans, or police, fire, and EMS personnel.
Whether her clients are searching for starter homes or luxury waterfront homes, for lots/land or for a new construction loan, MaryKate focuses on unmatched service and professionalism—from the first introduction until the deal is done. For buyers in specialty markets, MaryKate’s extensive area contacts provides opportunities for knowing what unique options are available, whether you’re searching for antique homes or luxury properties.
